Our Backstory

Frankly, The Coalition was started with somewhat selfish intentions. In 2017, we relocated our family to Bonners Ferry, along with our newly started outdoor brand, Überleben. We knew absolutely nobody. The Coalition was initially launched as a Facebook group / networking event, held at The Plaza Downtown (a great office space downtown, btw). The events were a great way to connect with other local business owners, entrepreneurs, and other like-minded people.

Our Vision

Fast forward to today; The Coalition | Cowork is the next step. Over the last several years, The Coalition has become less about building our network, and more about helping others build theirs. A physical cowork space dedicated to building community around entrepreneurship & skill-sharing. Bonners Ferry is a family-centric small town, and we have every intention of keeping it that way. However, for community to thrive, we believe in creating a strong infrastructure for economic sustainability. Without building new businesses that can compete on a national or global scale, opportunities will remain limited. Let’s not just create jobs, let’s develop careers.

Our next steps include way more Events, Startup Incubator & Venture Fund — along with more ways to invest in, connect, and ultiately empower others to build business in Bonners Ferry.
